To: STEPHEN STUDDARD, Putative and/or biological father
A biological father who is not the legal father loses all rights to the child and will not be entitled to object to the termination of his rights to the child unless, within 30 days of receipt of such notice, he files:
(1.) A petition to legitimate the child pursuant to Code Section 19-7-22; and
(2.) Notice of the filing of the petition to legitimate with the court in while the action unqer this Code Section is pending.
If the biological father who is not the legal father does not file a legitimation petition and give notice as required within 30 days from his receipt of the notice, or if after filing the petition he fails to prosecute it to final judgment, he loses all rights to the child and the court shall enter an order terminating all such father’s rights to the child and such father may not thereafter object to the termination of his rights to the child.
You are hereby advised that you, as a putative and biological father but not the ‘legal father’ of name of child, have a right within thirty (30) days of your receipt of this notice, to Petition to Legitimate your child pursuant to O.C.G.A. Sec. 19-7-22 and to file notice of the filing of the Petition with the Terrell County Superior Court. If you do not file a Petition to Legitimate the child and do not file a notice of the filing of the Petition to Legitimate the child with the Terrell County Superior Court within thi~ (30) days of your receipt of this notice, you will lose all rights to the child and you will not be entitled to object to the termination of your rights.
Copy of Petition is attached to this Summons or, if this summons is served by publication, can be obtained from the Clerk of this Court during business hours. Final hearing in this matter is scheduled for 1:30 o’clock p.m. on the 20th day of April, 2026, at the Terrell County Court house in Dawson, Georgia.
